Modern India and Pakistan: The Maratha rule was replaced by British rule. Many princly states remained independant, but they were still under the British Rule. British Rule prevailed in modern countries of: India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, Pakistan, Afghanistan. Religions in India: Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, Zoroastrianism and Islam. Persia and Afghanistan: Iran and Afghanistan were torn between British and Russian forces. In 1901 the British formaly established the boundries of modern Afghanistan. Religions: Islam, Hinduism, Sikh.
